Kanban systems are based entirely on demand. Supplies are controlled by means of containers or instruction cards or both. You take the product required at any given time out of the kanban container.

We receive notification that fresh supplies are needed and the order goes directly from the workstation through the kanban system and is forwarded to the supplier.
