Environmental policy at Allgaier
In view of the fact that all our business dealings can only take place in an intact environment, it is important to the managers of the Allgaier Group to give equal weighting to ecological virtues and commercial benefits.
In terms of environmental protection, we take our lead from the statutory requirements and official directives and abide by the internal standards and policies based on them. We regard the legal provisions as the minimum requirements and, where technically possible and economically viable, we will put measures in place which go beyond these minimum standards.
A commitment to environmental protection also brings economic benefits therefore we are constantly striving to improve our ecological credentials. The efficient use of resources reinforces this effect.
Our operating sites are designed and managed with environmental concerns in mind.
We make every effort to keep improving our performance in environmental terms.
Resources must be used sparingly and to optimum effect.
Staff are appropriately trained in their awareness of environmental issues.
Waste and residual materials are reused and recycled as far as commercially possible.
Alternative sources of energy are used.
Our environmental impact is monitored at all times and reduced to the minimum.
Measures taken to reduce the impact on the environment include optimisation of machine use, high machine utilisation ratio, reduction of machine idle times, and the use of low-emission production systems.
The environmental consequences of our actions are subject to regular review.
